Casey Kasem’s death rocked the entertainment industry, but many people suspected that it was going to occur since he suffered from Lewy body disease. The news of his death came out three years ago. At that time, it was obvious that there were going to be issues over the estate.
His wife at the time of his death and the daughter she had with Kasem are warring against Kasem’s other children over his entire estate. The daughter he had with his wife is said to be the only person living in his mansion. It is noted to be in disrepair and without water or electricity.
One of Kasem’s other children alleges that his wife and their daughter are ruining everything and failing to pay taxes on the property. The house is actually being held in a trust pending the outcome of the litigation that is outstanding. Still, Kasem’s wife is having to battle to keep her late husband’s assets from being seized.
Both sides of the issue allege that the other side killed the famed DJ. The authorities found that there wasn’t sufficient evidence to charge anyone for his death. The daughter of Kasem and his wife alleges that the other children killed him to reap the proceeds of his life insurance and to try to get control of his assets.
His wife decided to file a wrongful death lawsuit against his three oldest children. This is how difficult this case has gotten. Police officers were stationed at his estate to try to keep the peace. It is sad when situations like this occur; however, if it does occur in a case you are involved in, you should be prepared.
